General Terms and Conditions

The General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”) contain the terms of service for using the online store operated by sole proprietor Katalin Rácz (registered office: Hungary, 2016 Leányfalu, Alszeghy Kálmán tér 4., tax number: 68116507-1-33), hereinafter referred to as the “Service Provider.” Please use our services only if you agree with all the provisions and consider them binding. This document is not registered and is concluded solely in electronic form (it does not qualify as a written contract) and does not refer to a code of conduct. Any modification of the GTC will be communicated to users via publication on the website. The amended terms become effective on the 8th day following publication.

Fundamental Provisions:

1.1. Any matters not regulated in this policy or its interpretation are governed by Hungarian law, with particular regard to Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code (Ptk.) and Act CVIII of 2001 on certain issues of electronic commerce services and services related to the information society. Mandatory legal provisions are applicable without special stipulation.
1.2. Validity and modification: The GTC remains in effect until withdrawn.
1.3. All content on the website (text, images, videos, educational material) is protected by copyright. Copying, distribution, or use without prior written permission from the author is prohibited.
1.4. Availability: 24/7.

Available Products and Services:

1.6. Products displayed in the webshop are available for online purchase only. Services (language instruction) are VAT-exempt, and supplemental educational materials are also exempt. As these are digital products, no shipping or packaging fees apply. Products are delivered via download.
1.7. The Service Provider provides detailed descriptions, names, and images of the products. Images may differ from the actual product and serve as illustrations.
1.8. In case of promotional pricing, users are fully informed about the duration of the promotion.

Subscription Package Ordering Process:

1.9. After selecting the desired package to order, on the Checkout page you have the opportunity to enter billing information and create a student account, as well as choose the appropriate option between bank card or bank transfer. In case of bank card payment, the customer receives access to the ItalianOnline plus platform content immediately, while in case of transfer payment, access is granted after the amount arrives, for the duration of the subscription.If someone chooses bank transfer, they will receive the payment request via email within 24 hours. After the transfer arrives, at the latest within 48 hours, we notify the buyer via email about access to the purchased package.

 1.10. Possibilities for correcting data entry errors: contact details, personal data, additional product, product deletion, price verification – after placing the order, modification of incorrect data can be requested via email. 

1.11. Payment is possible by bank card and bank transfer, however we can only accept payments from natural persons.

1.12. The service provider’s webshop is obliged to immediately confirm the receipt of the customer’s order to the customer electronically. If this confirmation does not reach the customer within the expected timeframe depending on the nature of the service, but at the latest within 48 hours from sending the customer’s order, the customer is released from the binding nature of the offer or contractual obligation. An order and its confirmation are considered to have arrived at the service provider or the customer when it becomes accessible to them. The parties may deviate from the above rules if they have agreed to do so.

Order processing and fulfillment

1.14. General fulfillment deadline In case of purchasing an online subscription, immediately after bank card payment is received, or at the latest within 48 hours after bank transfer arrives. For online courses, the course start date. For individual online language lessons, the earliest available teacher slot – always coordinated with the buyer in advance. For conversation lessons, the time slot booked through the online appointment booking system.

1.14/a. Booking conversation lessons: Conversation lessons can only be booked through the online appointment booking system interface, based on available free time slots. The lesson time is chosen by the purchaser in the booking system. The booking can be cancelled or modified at the latest 24 hours before the lesson; cancellation after this time does not entitle to a refund.

1.15. If the Service Provider does not fulfill its contractual obligation because the product specified in the contract is not available, it is obliged to inform the User immediately and refund the amount paid by the User immediately, but at the latest within thirty days. Fulfillment of this obligation does not release the Service Provider from other consequences of breach of contract.

1.15/b. Subscription cancellation The user can cancel their subscription at any time in their own student account. The cancellation applies to the next billing period. Access is provided until the end of the already paid period, no refund is due. After cancellation, no further fees are charged, and the subscription does not renew automatically.

Right of Withdrawal:

1.16. According to Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.), users may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the product without justification. Withdrawal rights do not apply to digital content not supplied on a tangible medium once the user has given consent and acknowledged forfeiting the right.
1.17. Withdrawal Process: The user can withdraw within 14 days. For services, bank fees are deducted; for products, the full amount is refunded.

Warranty and Guarantee:
1.18. A 14-day guarantee is offered on online products. In case of complaints, users are informed via email. See Government Decree 151/2003 and relevant Civil Code provisions for statutory guarantees and warranties.

Responsibility for Technical Errors:
The Service Provider is not responsible for external system errors (e.g., Stripe payment system, hosting provider).

Miscellaneous Provisions – Conciliation Boards:

1.20. If a customer complaint is rejected, the consumer may turn to the competent conciliation board based on their residence or habitual location. Conciliation procedures are initiated upon the consumer’s request. Consumers must attempt to resolve the issue directly with the business beforehand. The request must include:

  • Consumer’s name, address, contact;

  • Business name and address;

  • Place of performance (if applicable);

  • Consumer’s position and evidence;

  • Declaration confirming prior attempt to resolve with the business;

  • Statement that no parallel proceedings are ongoing;

  • Request for the decision sought;

  • Consumer’s signature.

All supporting documents must be attached.

The business is obligated to cooperate with the conciliation board.
